Our Mission
The Howard University Expanding Research in Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias Postbaccalaureate Research Education Program (HU-ERA-PREP) equips recent Howard University STEM graduates with the rigorous training and mentorship needed to pursue impactful careers in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) research.
Supported by the NIA/NIH, the program cultivates a highly skilled community of emerging scientists prepared to advance into doctoral and medical programs or transition directly into research-focused careers. Through this training, HU-ERA-PREP scholars are positioned to contribute to innovative ADRD discoveries and help shape the future of the field.
